In a good way of course. Just like music, you want to be moved. The more move...

Re: Noir Alley

I don't even know what ID stands for. Investigation Discovery, it's a cable channel specializing in true crime. I just reread Catch-22 a few years ago. I remember when the movie came out it got mostly bad reviews. I haven't seen it in a long time so I'd have to watch it again to evaluate it. Heller...

Re: What are you listening to?

Bix was born and raised (I think) very close to me. I was hatched in Rock Island Illinois. It’s right next door to Moline, then you take the bridge to Davenport Iowa. That’s right where the Bix festival is held. On the Mississippi River. In fact, it’s held at the AAA baseball stadium. (I think)

Re: SPORTS

All you people know all this stuff. A man can learn. What’s the noir movie tonight/tomorrow? I have to say I like E. Muller a lot. His intros and outros are always so interesting. Sharp dresser. That means a lot! Very few sharp dressers these days.

Re: SPORTS

The interleague play goes against my grain too, JJ, They shouldn’t even have a National league and an American League. What’s the difference? Same with football I guess. But I Love baseball, all baseball fans Love baseball. It’s the rhythm of the game. I do like a lot of the new rules. I don’t like ...

Re: SPORTS

Oh wait, I remember now. Some folks are sticklers for staying on topic. Jimi and Willy are not really sports figures, but I have a feeling the two wouldn’t mind a bit if they were made sport of.

Wow, didn’t know any of that. Thanks. I also like a lot the Willy DeVille version, with the Spanish thing going on.

Laffite, he’s a big sports fan, and old as all get out I would guess. How you making out, Laffite? The Texas Rangers sure made a name for themselves last season. Bochy and Maddux make a good duo.

If AZ beats Philly in game 7, that would be something.

James Jazz Guitar. How you making out man? I was listening to some Jimi Hendrix the other day, and I thought about you. Let’s see, yeah the song was Hey Joe. He wrote that song, no?

Re: SPORTS

Seager is really fun to watch, both on the field and at the plate. I really lucked out this season. I was a Cub fan since birth but the Cubs aren’t on tv. So from the beginning of season all the Ranger games are on my cable set up. I fell in love with all the players. I started crying last night whe...

Re: SPORTS

Bochy and Mike Maddux make a very good team. I just love the way Maddux puts is hand on the pitcher’s shoulder when he visits the mound. He never puts his hand on the pitching shoulder, always the other one.

So, how do you like it so far?
It’s quite good. I had a bit of trouble with ‘the kid’ at first but got used to him.
