I was thinking of the 1960 version of Kidnapped. Skimpole did not specify which one. The film the question is about is after the 1938 version but before the 1960 version. If this helps, the film's year is after the 1938 version of Kidnapped but more than a decade before the 1960 version of Kidnapped...
