Another movie which surprised me was "Legally Blonde." My daughter had been trying to get me to watch it for months and I finally did and it was good.

because I'm prejudiced against war movies and westerns. I shear off from anything with words like "battle" or "squadron," "cheyenne," "canyon, " "west," etc in the titles, no matter who's in them. Yes, same here! Probably missing some good films bec...

Do! Do record it. Barrymore really is terrific. You can almost understand why the daughter wants to take care of him--mothering him, really. Nobody stone me for this, but I thought Hepburn was interesting, but not all that good, acting-wise.Oh well. She got better.

Don't laugh, but I wandered into the room where my husband, son and husband's friend were watching "Sean of the Dead." They invited me to stay and I was like, "Uh--no." But I got sucked in and to my surprise, the movie was actually very funny. Go figure.

The first horror movie I ever saw was the original "When a Stranger Calls," rom 1979 with Carol Kane and Charles Durning. Man, talk about freaky. No actual blood and guts, but the suspense..! I babysat as a teen and one of my clients was a very sucessful realtor/builder who lived in a big ...

Benhowell-- I had all those Ktel things as a kid between about 3 and 6th grade. I think my mom still has them in her record cabinet, actually. I also had a Disney Christmas album with such timeless classics as "Jingle, Jingle Bones" and "Senior Santa Claus." Great stuff Goddess--...

"The Dresden Files" Love this series. I read a couple of the books a few years back and then couldn't find any more until the show came out. Now, thet're all over the place. SciFi channel is what my uber-geek (I'm only like a demi-geek lol) husband watches all the time. The series are good...

Oh, if I can be permitted a third question: Have you been briefed on the connection between Wagner's RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES and Warner Bros' CATCH THE WABBIT? . I just love those Bugs Bunny cartoons with the operatic themes. "What's Opera Doc?" and "The Rabbit of Seville"--funny ...

I belonged to an online book club a while back and the way we did it was the leader would offer up 3 or 4 books for consideration and then we'd vote. Then we had a week or so to read it and then we met in a chat room for discussion.
For what it's worth.

I'd be interested, I think. A suggestion for finding books, if you can't borrow them: ebay or half.com or if you have one nearby, Half Priced Books usually has a good selection. Tracey An interesting book I read a while back was the Last Mogul about Lew Wasserman and MCA. Don't know how "true&q...

Re: Favorite themes of tv shows

Top Three for me: The Andy Griffith Show (that whistling theme was the greatest) The Rifleman (bless you for your wistful little theme, herschel burke gilbert) Perry Mason (wonderfully melodramatic stuff) Yes! That Perry Mason theme was great! Other good ones: "Hawaii 5-O" "Stargate ...
