She certainly was a stunning actress.
I doubled her on the Flicka series. She certainly was a lovely lovely lady.

Re: *CANDIDS*

Nick, Marge usually checks the CANDIDS thread and hopefully she will see your post. Thanks again for supplying the info. I just wrote a long post and accidentally deleted it! Just pick one I guess. Never in all of my life have I been aware of anything but that we were born in the same year only B i...

Re: *CANDIDS*

Thank you, ladies. I only found out today that she died last November. Thanks for the clarification Marge. Also her date of birth is listed as 1928 on IMDb while other sources state it is 1930? Perhaps you can clear that up, Marge. I enjoyed Ms. Lawrence as Linda Darnell's sister in "A Letter ...

Re: Gene Autry recommendations?

So glad to hear. I was thrilled when ask in May of this year to do an hour long audio for the Autry Museum.
I took it as quite an honor. Working directly with Mrs. Autry's assistant could not have been more fun.

Re: *CANDIDS*

Thanks so for the nice picture of Richard Widmark. I have met many, many people throughout my
career and life per se but surely Dick was one of the nicest, classiest, kindest people I have ever had
the pleasure of knowing. His wife Jean and their daughter Anne were lovely lovely people.
What a family!

Re: HORSES

Losing horses is always a painful experience. You never forget them (or the pain). I don't sell my horses so I know what it feels like but Buck was ucky to be well looked after. Its good to know that Robert Taylor was really terrific with horses. I read about him in Alois Podhajsky's book about the...

Re: HORSES

The first BUCK that I remember is the one Robert Taylor rode in his first western. It was his own horse.
Bob took great care of his horses. The original Buck died with his head in my lap. So sad.

Fredi Washington --- wow! Rerun, love that pic. As usual I blunder along here in ignorance and have to ask what connection your mom had with those people. :) I think it's fascinating how a number of you have personal knowledge or even acquaintance with some old Hollywood stars. Anecdotes are always...

Re: Best and Worst Lines in Movie History

From: Flying Down to Rio (way way ahead of its time film) Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire are sitting at a table watching dancers perform the very sensual Carioca where dancers put their foreheads together for a bit . . . . . . after Ginger asks what are they doing? Fred says, " mental telepathy...

Re: HORSES

. ...Have any of you noticed how his horse kind of 'dances' as he walks? He sort of kicks his front hoof out as he takes a step and if the camera stays on him long enough, you can almost hum a tune to the rhythm he seems to be following as he walks. I've noticed this 'dance' before and meant to ask...
