Re: LONGMIRE

Life happens. I live a very quiet one, so binge watching was easy to do. Of course I kept telling myself, "stretch this out", but they just kept rolling...really good season this year.

Re: LONGMIRE

Anne, this season of Longmire is a humdinger! Do the FREE 30 day trial of Netflix, gather your yarn and an easy project, and watch the whole season....hope you enjoy it as much as I did. It moves quite a bit faster, and not having to sit through commercials is a real plus!!!

Re: LONGMIRE

Anne, once you join, if you choose to watch on your computer, they just flow one after another, if you want. It's called "binge-watching". I have done this with Call the Midwife, Last Tango In Halifax, and A Place to Call Home.(that one is on Acorn TV.). You can choose to watch as many as ...

A flight attendant on an airline’s cross-country flight nervously announced about 30 minutes outbound from LA, “I don’t know how this happened, but we have 103 passengers on board and only 40 dinners.”… When the passengers’ muttering had died down, she continued, “Anyone who is kind enough to give u...

Re: Sailor walks into a bar . . .

Via Harry S Truman National Historic Site Bess often got after Harry to mow the lawn, a chore he loathed. One Sunday morning Harry rolled up his sleeves and headed out into the yard. While everyone else in town was passing the house on their way to church, the ex-President of the United States was m...

Re: To Kill A Mockingbird

Somewhere, probably on FB, I read that there is actually some doubt as to the authenticity of the book. The Lee Sisters were quite reclusive, and their attorney seems to be less than stellar. I agree Lynn, I would hate to have TKAMB tarnish d in any way.

Re: Before Hollywood

As usual, I'm late to the party..what a lovely thread, Miss M! Another candidate for this subject might be Gladys Cooper. Most remember her only as a matronly character actress, but she was a stunning beauty in her early years. I remember being shocked at Miss Nash's role in Philadelphia Story, she ...

Just read that Vivian Vance and William Frawley detested one another, and when he died, she was quoted as saying "Champagne for everyone!" Gulp......   (this was found on one of those Facebook things, couples who hated one another....since it was probably written by T...
