Dear Knitster:
I knew that the gods of TCM programming were at work for you last night when I happened to see that one of our mutual favorite films, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947), was finally scheduled to appear at long last on TCM. I am hoping that you felt your body and soul healing as you sailed away to Gull Cottage and what "Lucia" remembered as a "half-remembered dream." Be well--we need you.

Hello all-

The TCM Film Festival schedule is up and running on the site and I believe they will put up a printable version later this afternoon.

I am so happy about all the films and panels, and I'm looking forward to seeing Paula Prentiss and Merrie Spaeth introduce The World of Henry Orient! , and Thelma Schoonmaker introduce A Matter of Life and Death.
I also plan to show up to see Maureen. I know you have been hard at work on all these preparations!

Just saw that fabulous Word of Mouth including June Allyson, June Lockhart, and Margaret O'Brien. Whomever had the presence of mind to ask them all about Mary Astor deserves a big round of applause!

Kingrat-

In all 4 years, I have managed to squeeze exactly ONE movie and that is because Leonard Maltin (who I escort every year) stayed for it. That movie was the documentary on Baby Peggy - The Elephant in the Room!

Otherwise I am running behind Leonard and his wife Alice and making sure that they are happy.

I will definitely make time for our SILVER SCREEN guys and gals though.

We are frantic here with preparations and last minute celebrities !

Oh and Sue Sue-

spread the word on the Gone With the Wind weekend for June in Atlanta. TCM is not involved but it is a great movie lover fest!

I got to attend the GWTW fest in Atlanta, thanks to TCM, a few years ago (for the 70th Ann.) so I know it will be a blast. I truly regret being unable to attend the Classic Film Fest yet again. :( :(

Best wishes for another smashing success and let me add to you and all at TCM:

Happy Twentieth Anniversary to the BEST Network in the World!!!
