Our name change is complete. If you're having issues, please email me or post your problem here.

I will not be changing the URL of the gallery, as that would break all links to the forums.

Any links you made to other posts are now broken, so if they are important you may want to edit them.

Hi,

Thanks for doing this. I admire anyone with a computer savvy brain; mine is just junk!

Hey, Jon, isn't volunteer Medieval Latin for "generous victim"? :)

It is the funniest thing, but I was amost going to start a new thread asking why this forum was called the plasticage! Well, I guess I don't have to think about that one anymore. I like the new name. It's classy, and makes a whole lot more sense.

plasticage.net is my site, that has existed since 2002. When I made the offer to moira to set up the forum, it was done on my existing web space. It still is, actually, silverscreenoasis.com is a "parked" domain, as is jonparker.com -- they all point to the same site.

I chose the name Plastic Age because my original plan was to do a site devoted to 20th century American culture, and in many ways that sums up the period for me. Plastic as a material was responsible for many of the innovations and advances that we saw during that 100 years. It's also the name of a Clara Bow silent that's a fun, if a bit cheesy film, and I'm a huge fan of Ms. Bow. In any event, while I worked on it some, it never became what I wanted it to be. Real life intervened.

Truth be told, I *hate* the new name, but the majority has spoken.
