Took a lot to get here, but registered at last...so hello!

Post by Lomm »

Thank you Moira for helping me leap through some unexpected hurdles I ran into while trying to get registered! :)

Huge classic movie fan and stumbled upon this forum a while ago, but now decided to sign up. Looking forward to reading and talking about one of my passions with people who share it!

It's in my top films too, obviously. :) Charade is my number one Stanley Donen film...with my two all time favorite actors right there front and center. Couldn't ask for more.

Whew! Lomm, thank goodness you had the patience (and savvy) to let me know that you were having some difficulty getting through the registration process. As many members know, we are in the process of upgrading the site. Making it simpler to contact admins and streamlining registrations on our site are issues on our agenda of goals.

Welcome!

Thanks for this news, Moira. Will there be changes coming to the everyday look-and-feel of the message board, or are the changes primarily behind the scenes? And is there (scheduled) downtime expected due to the upgrade process?

Changes will eventually be visible on screen and present behind the scenes changes

If and when changes are imminent that will affect anyone experiencing the site online, members will be informed ahead of time by an announcement and an email, as well as via blog and facebook notices. A big part of the motivation for pursuing these goals is to prevent unscheduled events from occurring in the future.

I love Indiscreet. The scene at the ball where Grant is just hamming it up, not realizing everyone there has found him out and despises him is hilarious.

Thanks everyone, for the greetings. I'm enjoying myself here, finding people who actually care to talk about classic film.
I tend to bore the room most places if I go to this subject. I'm glad to find a group of like minded fans.

I need some help. I suggested this group to a few classic film fans elsewhere, but they are not getting registration confirmation EMails and cannot join although they want to. Please help.

I'm certain that System Administrator Lomm will be able to solve the problem.

I just wanted to say, "Thank you, CinemaInternational!" for helping to build up SSO membership!
