My name is Kari and I was invited to this board by my friend Hedvig (Synnove).

I'm seventeen years old (nearly eighteen) and I adore classic cinema. My main focus is the silent era, they fascinate me and hold my attention more, but I am extremely fond of the thirties too. I enjoy movies from all eras if I find them worthy of praise.

My favorite classic stars include: Lon Chaney Sr., Marilyn Monroe, Lillian Gish, Charlie Chaplin, Olivia de Haviland, Marion Davies, Lars Hanson, Gloria Swanson, Constance Talmadge, Madge Bellamy, Mary Pickford, Conrad Veidt, John Barrymore, Lawrence Gray, Raymond Hatton...many, many others but I don't want to keep you guys here all day! :wink:

This board looks fantastic! I cannot wait to get to know everyone.

I'm not big on silent cinema but wanted to welcome you aboard our ship of state nonetheless. There's a great group of people here with an incredible amount of knowledge to share. You won't even have to try to learn something new here. It can happen just by osmosis! Enjoy your stay!

(You can note how Synnova gracefully avoided her observations on my sanity levels, by the way. She definitely puts a tune in my heart... what's that old song? Chattanooga Choo Choo? Y'know, the one with the line...
