Classic bloopers for a buck

Post by markfp »

I was in my local Target store over the weekend and found a little treasure in the area where they sell stuff for a dollar. Being a sucker for cheap DVD's I was poking through a stack of movies like "Rescue from Gilligan's Island" and "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" and came across a little gem called "ALL STAR BLOOPERS".

This contains the 1936-1940 and 1946 editions of "Breakdowns" which was an annual blooper reel made for Warner Bros. employees and shown at their Christmas Party and other employee events. There's a lot of big names here including Cagney, Flynn, Davis, O'Brien, Bogart and many more. While I've seen some of these before, this disc is an hour long. It was obviously mastered from some pretty used 16mm prints, but is certainly worth the price. After I watched it, I went back and bought five more to give to friends.

If you like big name bloopers from that era this is a steal at a $1.00.
