The Silver Screen Oasis

I have several ShoutFactory DVDs, including countless Mystery Science Theater 3000 sets, but I have never actually ordered from their web site before. I very much want to pre-order the Phil Silvers Show complete collection that they offer on their site, but I am a bit wary about buying it there. They ask for a phone number to verify a credit card...when do you need to do that?

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here has experience ordering from https://www.shoutfactory.com/, and if it was a positive or negative experience?

I have no experience with ShoutFactory.

I would pre-order from Amazon.

I dealt with an online retailer that insisted on having my phone number once. They actually called me to verify the last 4 numbers of my credit card. I blindly gave it out without thinking (really stupid). Fortunately, it was actually legit, and nothing ever happened. But I will never do that again, and shouldn't have then. I'd go with Amazon. Shoutfactory is almost certainly legit, but I'd still feel uncomfortable because it just seems dodgy.

Oh wow, Amazon is cheaper now! I looked a few weeks ago and their price was higher. Thanks for letting me know! I'll get it from them, as it is a lot more trusted.
