Holy Mackerel! What Have They Done to IMDb?
I just discovered that IMDb has had one of those deadly sea changes that IT people like to call "an upgrade." It is now much harder to navigate on a profile and look at a person's entire filmography. As far as I can see the value of the site has just been drastically diminished in favor of the insertion of advertisements for DVDs. I guess I'll have to get used to this. Change is good for the brain so I guess I'll have to compose a diplomatic thank you note to those mischievous elves at IMDb.

Upgrades aren't always good. There is a new version of itunes that just made everything look ugly. Change just for the sake of change is no upgrade.

Good news, Oasisians (is there such a word????)!!!
You can restore IMDB back to the "old" way that you enjoy. MrCutter and I are not enamored of computerw**nies upgrading something that works so well. Why? Because when they get done with it, the upgrade usually isn't nearly as good as the platform it is replacing.

Whew!
Thanks for the practical advice, Lynn.
Upgrades are only occasionally for the better.

Thanks a lot Lynn! I couldn't stand the new design either.

Has anybody been experiencing trouble with imdb today? I've been trying to login without success! The site's a mess...
Re: Holy Mackerel! What Have They Done to IMDb?
Actually, the whole time I've been using it, it's been a hodgepodge between the old and "new" formats. So I don't know what the bejeebus is doing over there. I know that I agree that the new interface does indeed stink.

I thought it was because I had a new computer, I hadn't seen this thread. Is it only for registered users to be able to reset the page, I've tried doing it but I'm not registered as a member. It might be worth registering as the site as it is is doing my nut.

I've been registered since 2001 or 2002 and it keeps throwing me out, not allowing me to login with my e-mail and password.

Glad someone else was bothered by this; I just thought I was being a big baby. Most tired-making. (Can you tell I've been reading Waugh?)

Oh brother, me TOO! I thought it was my computer, too because one day it would be the old format and the next day it was weird and impossible to read. I will try that reset.
