June Foray- the voice so many of us love

Post by Lzcutter »

From Lucifer the cat to Rocket J. Squirrel and so much more, voice actress June Foray has left her mark on various animated characters that are a part of our post-World War II pop culture.

At 94, she is still working.

She sat down for an interview with Susan King at the LA Times to talk a bit about her long career and how she came to meet the wacky Jay Ward and Bill Scott and become part of the cartoon series beloved by many of us of a certain age:

Enjoy!

I love June Foray, and always recognize her voice, if it's Fractured Fairy Tales, or Witch Hazel in Bugs Bunny, or Tweety's Granny. God bless her!

Oh why oh why oh why did you post that?! My sister had a bed full of dolls when we were growing up. And that Talking Tina episode and that voice (didn't know it was Foray's) gave me chills.

Now just hearing it I have chills again.

I'll NEVER get to sleep tonite.
