David Jacobs talks Garland/Sinatra

Post by stuart.uk »

I hope members on the forum don't mind me paying tribute to 2 other British entertainers who died over the last few days. With the death of David Frost it's been a sad day for British light entertainment. Mike Winters was one half of the brother double act Mike And Bernie Winters fame. As a double act they were the main rivals to Morcambe and Wise in the 60s and 70s. Mike split up the act to set up in business in America, leaving Bernie to go solo. Sadly Bernie died in 1991.

David Jacobs was a presenter and Disc Jockey in a career that spaned over 60-years. He was most famous for presenting the British version of Jute Box Jury and was one of the presenters in the eary years of Top Of The Pops. David met a lot of famous peoplein his long career. Here's a delightful interview.
