The latest issue of Sight & Sound has a review of the first-time release on DVD in the UK of THE SADIST, a very special movie starring Arch Hall, Jr in what is his finest performance. What may force me to get a copy is that it has a commentary track by its cinematographer, Vilmos Zsigmond. This was his American debut. And all we here in the US of A get is a PD version on Alpha Video. Life just isn't fair.

I bought a region free DVD player awhile back and It's been a great investment. Sounds like it might be a good one for you too! :P

With the assistance of Brandon and Bryce, who insist that my DV-R can be converted with a magical mystical code, I hope to have one. I've failed on my own (as they mumble in the background).
