The Asphalt Jungle - The Best Performance ?

There are many outstanding performances in this John Huston directed heist film. Marilyn as a mistress, Jean Hagan as " doll " the girlfriend of hooligan Sterling Hayden, Mark Lawrence as a nervous bookie. But to me Sam Jaffe as " Herr Doktor ", and Louis Calhern as a " respectable " lawyer.

One of the all-time greats, start to finish!
Everybody does a bang-up job, but my special fave has to be James Whitmore as the cat-loving counterman/wheel guy!

All the performers were very good here...even Marilyn Monroe.
However it's Sam Jaffe as Doc Riedenschneider who steals the show.
Good stuff.
