*CANDIDS*
Re: *CANDIDS*
I am, by prior confession, a bit weak in i.d.'ing Sporting Group breeds (or as they're called hereabouts: gun dogs), but I would bet half my lunch money that the sweethearts attendant on Mr. Stewart's instruction are Chesapeake Bay Retrievers . .
(The clinching clue being the apparent color of their noses.)

Oh, these canteen photos are wonderful, mongo. Thanks for posting them, and the Alice Faye picture on the previous page, as well.

Wow, look at Gable's body language, how he kind of pulls away from her. And look at the expression on his face.
I didn't realize Parsons had such nice legs.
Ted Donaldson was a great little actor. I recorded Once Upon a Time earlier this month when it was Cary Grant's day. The movie was rather ponderous, not as magical as I remembered it as a kid (probably shown on Million Dollar Movie), but Donaldson was excellent, and was in no way overshadowed by Grant in their scenes together. I'd put Donaldson right up there with Dean Stockwell and Darryl Hickman, although Donaldson rarely got roles as meaty as the other two.

Re: *CANDIDS*
Judith, your on the money about Ted Donaldson. He was also perfecto as Neeley in "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn". Here is Ted with actress Jean Porter at a banquet last year.

Re: *CANDIDS*
Gee, Mongo. I've had collies with less chest hair than those guys.
I'm not complaining though I think Mr. Granger plays on another team. So maybe this is also something for the boys.

Please Joe, no barechested Robin Williams.
(And Moira, according to Granger's memoirs, he likes (or has liked) everybody, so we can all look without fear of reprisal.)

Time for some "gander sauce", Mongo.
Turnabout is not only fairplay, it's fun-play . . so how about balancing things out with a run of cherished actresses of yore a la deshabille?
