I can name the front row, and possibly two of the standing ones, but the furthest back two fellows I'm having a hard time with.

Back Row (l to R): My buddy Lloyd Nolan, Tyrone Power, Raymond Massey and John Hodiak.

Raymond Massey is the one I was having the most trouble with because he never smiles in the movies! He looked so familiar and yet I couldn't get my mind around who it was. Are you sure about Hodiak?

I thought Ty was Ray Milland, but on closer look, I think you are right. So I got one out of the back row! Luckily I got all of the first row, or I'd feel pretty ashamed calling myself a classic film fan.

Yep, Wendy, I'm sure about Hodiak. He was part of the "Caine Mutiny" cast. He played Lt. Maryk.

You're right about Massey and his rarely smiling - especially with teeth showing. Check out this page:

Ha! There's only one photo with a full smile!

You know what? Hodiak didn't smile much either! No wonder I can't recognize these guys!

Sadly, with his health problems I reckon there wasn't much for Hodiak to smile about. But when he did:

And evidence why Raymond Massey rarely afforded us his "toothy grin":

Much more natural:

Don't know what it is with me but frequently I'll see a photo of someone famous and instantly, in my eye, see someone else who's famous (huh?)

In that photo, I see more Audrey Meadows than Janet Leigh.

Joe, that's one of my favorites of her - and she's delightful posing like that. - Its from her 1944 Cover Girl Movie ...

I find it hard to believe that it is Julie Newmar's 80th birthday ... I met her once in the late 90's and she is looking so good. Got her autograph too.
