Oh, gosh, I love Miriam Colon! In One Eyed Jacks, she is a bar girl who helps Rio, and she is simply MARVELOUS in John Sayles fairly recent film Lone Star. She is a wonderful actress who never played down to a stereotype.

Errol Flynn meets Clint Walker at a costume party in 1957
Well, what do you know... that very photo turned up at John McElwee's wonderful Greenbriar Pictureshows Blog (http://greenbriarpictureshows.blogspot.com/) with the following text:
A Footnote To My Conversation with Clint Walker: The above still with Errol Flynn was one I just had to ask about. Upon my mention of a big star Clint had met at a costume party in 1957, Mr. Walker exclaimed, Errol Flynn! Being a fan, he regarded Flynn as a first-rate actor (still does), and remembered the encounter very well. It was the annual Ballyhoo Ball held on October 19, 1957. Seems Errol (sans festive duds) approached Clint in his costume (Sinbad? Gaucho?), remarked So You're Clint Walker, casually walked a circle around the younger man inspecting his outfit, then said, You'll do as he reached for another drink (Flynn's date is holding a program with what looks like a caricature of Red Skelton on the cover --- was he host at this shindig?).

Wow, Joe, I'm amazed -
I've seen Buster as Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, Tarzan, and a few loopy Western heroes, but until this angle, in this photo, I've never noticed how much he resembled another Hollywood "BC" of that era: Bruce Cabot!

That's the guy!
He turned the mob against Spencer Tracy, muscled in on Fay Wray when Kong got distracted, and did his darn'dest to sidekick for the Duke after Ward Bond bought the farm . . . say, come to think on it, has TCM ever dedicated a day of films to Tinseltown's most sarcastic playboy?

I remember Sylva Koscina for her "appearance" in Playboy in the mid 60's . . Land o' Goshen, I do swear I never looked at the 'rolling meadows of Summer' the same way again - Miz Sylva was definitely one tall slice of Paradise!
