I posted this as a reply on the TCM board and thought I'd repeat it here:

YES, HAPPY LABOR DAY! I think this is a good time for of us to remember all those great nameless, faceless people who labored behind the scenes to make our favorite movies. Without the hard work of the grips, electricians, wardrobe people, makeup artists, carpenters and all of the other craftspeople those films just wouldn't be the classics they are. In those days, most of them didn't really get paid that much and they didn't even get a screen credit. THANK YOU ALL!
