That is inspiring, John. What was your first show if you don't mind my asking?

Wouldn't It Be Loverly is the only song I can sing from My Fair Lady with any degree of professionalism. Great Link. Also, you know how much I love Whistling in the Dark...

When I was in London this summer, I just reveled in walking around and listening to everyone speak. I would just sit and eavesdrop on the train, in a restaurant, on the bus... that was loverly....

I treated myself to high tea in the Rose Room at the Hotel Sofitel...
I'll never forget those moments...

I went to see Judy Dench in Hay Fever at the Haymarket.

Dear John,
After an initial run in the Houston version of Romper Room at the
tender age of 4 where I met Dan Rather before his hit Hurricane
Carla coverage, I was not to dust the stage skirt until, after
several grueling audition sessions, given the privilege of
performing as a Eunuch protecting Tuptim in a college
version of The King and I where I was allowed
to sing, stand erect, and sport a liberal coating of the
historical Max Factor Light Egyptian. Show biz is my life.

A lovely and thoroughly classy lady of the stage and screen. I love Audrey Hepburn, but I SO wish Julie had played in the movie version of My Fair Lady...

I had a huge crush on Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins when I was five or so. I thought she was the personification of all a woman should be.

Then I turned six and discovered Julie Newmar as Catwoman, and well...
