The Lost Chase-Helen Mirren

Post by stuart.uk »

Spoiler

I just watched a film called The Lost Chase, where Helen plays a youngish American woman called Chase, who's married to Beau Bridges and 2 young boys. Its set in a small town American beach front. Chase is slowly recovering from a nervous breakdown so her husband hires Elizabeth (Kyra Sedgwick) as a house-keeper/child minder. At first Chase treats the house-keeper badly, as she's still in bad shape following her breakdown. However, after the husband goes back to work in the city, Chase's health with the help of Elizabeth dramatically improves. However, both women fall in love and share a kiss, but that's as far as it goes. Elizabeth leaves after sharing a goodbye hug from Chase. Chase's marraige improves as does her relationship with her children.

It's a 1996 TV movie known as Losing Chase in the US.

I love everything Mirren does, and will certainly search this one out.

I saw "LOSING CHASE" when it was on cable years ago. Good movie. Mirren and Sedgwick were great together. Very tastefully done.

I love Helen Mirren. Gee, I haven't thought about this movie in years. I have to see it again.
