Thanhouser Films Online

Post by MichiganJ »

The Thanhouser Company Film Preservation, Inc is streaming all of the films from their DVD collections free of charge (donations are welcome).
Lots of very interesting one and two-reelers from 1910 thru 1917.

is there a secret password???? I can't get "She" to play. Are you sure the films are free? there is a very obvious "donate" button below the screen....

Thank you, for this, I look forward to seeing some of these. I think it's marvelous this trend to put online films that may never get a DVD release. Wonderful. And if I watch, I'll try to send in a small contribution since it must have taken so many hours of effort to do this.

Nan - were you able to watch She?

I agree with MissG - I will gladly donate to promote silents and other more obscure films being shown online.

I'm laid up with a pulled muscle (??) in my lower back, it's all I can do to move from bed to chair to bed again. It was pretty bad last night, better today. I didn't even feel like KNITTING    Now, that's PAIN! :D Just couldn't concentrate on anything for more than 10 minutes. Alison sent me Cluny Brown (thanks!!!!!) and I only watched part of it, got impatient with Cluny, and I know it is supposed to be a wonderful movie.

will try tomorrow, I'm taking it easy all weekend.

I know how you're feeling and when I was laid up I liked watching TV shows, preferrably 1/2 hour ones, to movies. I just could not concentrate on anything longer, no matter how good it was.

I hope you feel better soon. Cluny can wait, she'll just keep banging her pipes.

Oh Nan! I'm so sorry! That is a PAIN - just don't try to do anything until it's completely healed! I'm thinking of you! Sending out warm fuzzies in your general direction.  :D :D
