Moira must have been on a tear. She invited me, too, via a private message on That Certain Moviesite.

I'm also glad to see to see a lot of my friends from another forum, too. They probably considered it a golden opportunity . . .

I was invited by Moira after having Anne buzz my name in her ear. I certainly want to thank each of you once again as this has become the ONLY board that I actively participate in.

A 'Silver' opportunity. Thanks to Miss Moira.

I was invited by EleanorPowellFan. We were both members of a similar club but it's dying on its feet, this is much more lively.

I found this forum when searching for reviews of the western The Proud Ones.
I was greeted by cinemalover. I felt very welcome. My time here has been a blessing from day one!
'Meeting' all these intelligent people in one delightful and interesting forum is wonderful.

I wish all of you many more good and bad movie experiences, preferably good

I sure hope I will have a fellow norwegian here soon... Unfortunately, I don't know of any.

I too am friends with charliechaplinfan, Ann Harding, feaito and others from another forum! Did you ever get the feeling you were being followed?

Count me to this group. I was invited here by Ann Harding and Charliechaplinfan. It's great to see Feaito, silentscreen and Coffeedan here as well.

movieman, does it count if my sister-in-law is Norwegian? Both sets of grandparents came from Norway and settled in San Francisco. Her name is Gudrun Oline, and her nickname is "Goody". She introduced our family to Krunsekage, Christmas rice pudding, and a couple of things I can't spell or pronounce...
Is it any wonder one of my favorite movies is "I Remember Mama"?

If that's as close as we can get, it's fine by me.

Anyway, it's called 'kransekake', but you almost got it right.
I dont know what that christmas rice pudding is, but it sounds delicious.

Moira's good posts on that certain movie forum made me notice her and seek out SSO after she'd posted a couple of guest listings. She didn't seem too insane and I believed I could push her over that edge. Alas... "try try again"...

I had this place recommended to me by charliechaplinfan, who's a very dear friend of mine, I had left another place I used to frequent and she told me about this place. I do see a few familiar faces(Ann Harding, featio!) and it seems to be a very friendly, warm, and good atmosphere here. Glad I showed up!!!

I was invited by Jon when I mentioned on the other board that he seemed to have gone missing (along with about half the universe - apocolypse? No...SSO)

Although I don't post often, I really enjoy reading about film and stars. The guest stars add so much to the site, making it both contemporaneous and progressive. The conversation here is so intelligent and upbeat and I appreciate sharing my interests with such a great group. Thanks again to Jon for the invitation, to the moderators who keep it all going and to the members who share my interest in film, film, and more film!

For those who knew me at the other place but not as Charliechaplinfan, it's Alison/Victoralice here :D
