That is strange ...I'll take your word for it, seeing as I couldn't find a photo of Dillinger Sr. (Maybe you can post one?)

On her facebook page, his daughter Tara says of this picture:
"I've never met anyone else with the same color eyes as my father. If you never met him in person, you might not appreciate what a freaky, intense, electrical light blue they were. He could have played THE MAN WITH THE X RAY EYES without contact lenses."

I always think of Gordon because of his eyes. I love the way they photograph and can only imagine how arresting (ha) they must have been in person.

Here's a link to a brief audio featuring John Dillinger Sr., which also showsome photographs of the old man.

What`s funny, Mary-Kate, is even though I can see a resemblance between Leo`s dad and Dillinger`s father, in the outfit Leo`s pop is wearing in that photo, he actually looks more like John Dillinger himself. I really dig those duds!

Interesting also how much older than their calendar years many folks from that era appeared. Leo`s dad looks a heckuva lot older than 36.

I think it's partly that they never, ever (well, hardly ever) smile. Of course getting one's picture taken back then was a rarer, and more serious, occasion than nowadays. If you're ever having an old-style photo done, remember to imitate that "steel poker up your neck" look.

Yeah, almost everyone from that era resembles a contribution to Queen Victoria's "gruesome gallery".

Leo's daughter, who, I've mentioned before, runs a terrific facebook page for her dad, posted this the other day... it's about the foiled robbery attempt that resulted in Leo getting shot and sent to prison.

So, as has been noted before, I'm sure, Leo was basically playing himself in this episode:
