"THE ESCAPE" lost Griffith silent?

Post by ziggy 6708 »

Okay smarties, here's one for you.
I found a referance to a "controversial" silent film by D.W.Griffith (pre "Birth of a Nation") called THE ESCAPE from 1914, supposedly concerning eugenics, which sounded intriguing, but was considered 'lost'. What I found here doesn't say much: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0003890/

Just wondered, with all the experts here, if someone could tell me or direct me to any more information. Thanks in advance--- :)
(also posted at TCM board under GD & info, please and got some interesting responses, just wondered if the experts here could come up with anything more....oooo sounds like a challange
