Tomorrow is the last day to submit a new list or make any adjustments to the lists that you've already posted. After that we'll determine which 32 films have made it into the competition.

The submission phase of the contest is now over. I'll be compiling the lists, factoring the results and we'll have our 32 contestents posted by tomorrow. The competition will begin later this week. Thanks to all who participated.

No, we have not done the comedies yet. They may well be our next target.

Thanks for playing the game!

cinemalover,

:o Hey, hold on a minute there! Please note, this forum was not working pretty much all day yesterday, and all night long as well! I have lots of friends who were going to vote, but were not able to do so! During the 7.00 AM Hour this morning, there was still nothing here. You could not even access the site! Therefore, I was certain that this contest would be extended a little while longer?

Gagman,
If anyone wants to post an additional list by the end of today I will add their lists into the tabulations. I really need to have it today though so I can tabulate all the results and get the voting competitions up and running by mid-week. So, if there is anyone out there that missed posting your list yesterday due to the technical difficulties, please feel free to post them here today.
Thanks.

Here are some preliminary numbers (pending any further additions):

There were 120 different films nominated.

51 of those films have multiple votes.

The leading vote getter is Sunrise, which has 12 votes. If this doesn't change it will enter the competition as the number one seed.

Cinemalover,

:? Blast! I can't get a hold of any of my other friends to vote! Nobody seems to be at home? How frustrating!

So what did I miss? SUNRISE is #1 with 12 votes? I thought the order of the list counted??

The first factor in deciding the seedings is overall number of votes. The rankings will determine the rankings of all the films that receive the same number of votes, for example 11 films have three votes each, I then average what rank each of their three votes was. If one film received a #3 and a #11 and a #12 vote you add those three together to get 26. You divide 26 by 3 to get an average score of 8.67. You then figure the score for all 11 and rank them accordingly.
