Thanks for the link Annharding, this sounds great! I'm going to enjoy seeing Max Linder's take on The Three Musketeers. Was he parodying Doug's version or the French version?

I'm glad to see that that site is running again. Last time I checked it they had closed it down. I hope it will continue to get a wider selection of films.

He is definitely parodying Fairbanks. He was a good friend of his. The film is really funny. Here is a screen capture of the Cardinal stroking the head of his favourite monk!
