The Silver Screen Oasis

Has anyone seen Blancanieves? It's a modern (2012) Spanish film, silent, 1:33 format, based upon the Snow White and the Seven Dwarves story. It just came out on DVD. I really enjoyed it. It's quite artistic and set in teens and twenties southern Spain. Supposedly, it was in the works before The Artist was even finished. Here's a link to the trailer:

Thanks for posting this Countess! I hadn't heard of it before. I am happy that some filmmakers are starting to delve into the world of imagination again, rather than going always for realism. Great!

I just found it at Netflix, so I'll give it a try as soon as I get my recent orders watched.
