Breathing

In some movies which feature young sopranos, such as Deanna Durbin, Jane Powell, etc. breathing is mentioned by teachers and advisors as something they should watch carefully. A good example of a soprano breathing is shown in this short clip, taken from the Chocolate Soldier (1941). Check out Rise Stevens lower abdomen.
