Re: 'Round the World Weather Report
Well, the rain lasted six days here in the City of Angels. Yesterday and today were the first real sunshine we have had for a week. Luckily, despite the deluge, there was less damage than anticipated, especially in the burn areas.
The rain is set to return on Tuesday but, hopefully, only for 24 hours before making another appearance next weekend.
If El Nino is really here this year it could rain until Easter with only occasional sunshine.
Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Get in line!!!!!!!!!!Thunderstorms last night; always creepy in Illinois in January.
A freak fifty some degrees and a tiny peep of sun (after 10 days) before the grey crept back in. Alright, which of you out there has sunshine and an empty guest room? (I'll settle for a couch.)
Birdy
Fifty five on Saturday, and a high today of 32 or so...if we're lucky. I want to know who's hoarding all the sunshine?

Me neither. It IS 57 today, but pouring rain. Tomorrow back to cold and rain.
Re: 'Round the World Weather Report
Gag. I guess Texas qualifies. We've had nothing but swimmin' weather this last week. I keep expecting Texas' annual 2nd Winter to arrive - for 3-4 days.

Hail, sleet, freezing rain, and snow.
Supposed to be back to 1 degree f in a couple of days.
Nancy, did you and Ro send this (*(&($*@^%)#*#@ weather this way?
Ollie,
I'm packed.
I can just pick out those DVDs when I get there.

Ms B, that's hilarious...when I read the FIRST LINE, I thought "geez, why is she using those really nasty words?" It is so cold (pardon my language) here, the wind just cuts through you. I know there are places and people who deal with this on a regular yearly basis, BUT NOT AROUND HERE. We have a snow day or 6, but nothing like the past 2 months.Birdy says "Hail, sleet, freezing rain, and snow.

Oh my golly NO ma'am.... I only WISH I could send it somewhere (but not to YOU or my other fellow posters here) I wouldn't wish this winter on ANYONE so nice as you folks.Birdy wrote:Nancy, did you and Ro send this (*(&($*@^%)#*#@ weather this way?
Nancy... did you see that ONE bright (if ever so fleeting) moment of sun we had shining out there this past Sunday morning? (We haven't seen the sun in so long folks... it seems like its been literally WEEKS now) I went out to get in the car to go to church and I turned to my husband and said something like, "Call the police... my eyes are being assaulted by some sort of bright shiny foreign object in the sky" ha. It has almost been THAT long I nearly forgot what a NORMAL morning looked like.. ha. (but the ridiculously icy cold wind blew the clouds back today to remind me... sigh)

Thanks, Fernando!
Ollie, you're off the hook. I've had a better offer.

(And believe me when I say I wish I weren't kidding. The car door blew shut and almost cut my leg off this morning.Beh.)
