Happy Holiday: It Might As Well Be Spring

Post by moira finnie »

Despite a snowfall that made the crocuses (or is it crocii?) and daffodils hang their heads for a day, we have blue skies here today, with a crisp wind, green grass and flowers rebounding wonderfully just in time.

I'm doing my whirling dervish act trying to get the family feast for Easter in place, tackling cleaning and a few new and old dishes, (hmm, been a while since I made a real lemon meringue tart, but here goes nothin'...). I hope that if you celebrate the arrival of Spring with a Dionysian Revel, a Maypole, a Passover Seder or an Easter Morning Sunrise service that it is a good time for each of you, despite any of the world's many troubles.

In the hope that your Easter celebration renews your spirits this April, here's a collection of Easter bonnets, vintage Hollywood style. Please click on the thumbnails below to see these ladies in their finery. I hope their creative chapeaus give you a smile:

M,

Wish I could join you for your annual feast but I'm there in spirit!

Hope everyone has a lovely holiday!

This musical routine is so freaky, it might make people afraid of bunnies, or at least afraid of Jack Carson in a Bunny suit:

I will be spending EASTER with my friends this year and my family have other obligations to attend to and we decided not to celebrate Easter together and decided to spend time with our friends instead. That's what I will be doing tomorrow ...

What is that growth on Ann-Margret's head, lol?

Have patience with the voiceover and a long pause in the middle, because then the groovy music starts:
