2) Cross-eyed
3) Flaming red hair
3) Freakishly small legs & feet, no evidence of functional knees
4) Given to convulsive fits of hostile gibberish, usually followed by random gunplay
5) Afflicted with recurring fixations over explosives & antique railroad cars, and paranoid fantasies about talking rodents.

Apparently Knitty is not the only one. I and my friends back in the day must have been quite taken with the guy: we spent a great deal of time calling each other "Fin-flappin' flounders" and "Id-jits." And I think the small feet add a note of delicacy to the rough and tumble persona.

One would think. And that big hat could only be a-coverin' Big Hair. (No vision of a hatless Yosemite comes to mind, but I'm sure some flip-flappin' flounder will refresh my poor idjit recollection.)

This is completely off-topic, but I've been thinking for some minutes now about one of those silly "jokes" that was circulating in the NYC Jewish community back in the early 60s.

We're going to drive to Yosemite Park this summer. We picked it because of the name -- Yosemite. That's Spanish for "I am Jewish."

(Think about it. But I warned you it was silly.)

That picture of Elisabeth Taylor is by far the most unusual picture of ever seen of her in my entire life.

The most unusual picture ever for any Hollywood past and present period. She looks like something that Star Trek would do to a female hair in any of the Star Trek series. Thanks for sharing it ... I really do.

The bigger the hair, the closer to God.
