Please help me pray for a quick recovery

Post by Uncle Stevie »

Our member and my good friend is just out of the hospital after heart surgery. You know him as "Fossy" and he is Doug Trembearth from Cairns, Australia. He just wrote me of his successful operation but is now dealing with some fluid on his lungs. I am not sure of the details of his operation but I think his heart valve was involved.

I am praying for his quick recovery and return to participating on SSO. Doug is a great lover of old films and is very knowledgeable in the history of screen stars. Doug also, like me, has a formidable collection of old movies. Doug and I met as "Email Pen Pals" a while back as members of the DDD (Deanna Durbin Devotees) web site. We share stories and family experiences. Doug is a great guy.

Stevie, thanks for letting us know what has happened to Fossy. I will be thinking and praying for his swift recovery--and I hope he finds his way back here when he is able to again.

Get better, Doug!

Doug, I have written out wishes for your recovery on cotton prayer strips, decorated with feathers & beads after the Iroquois tradition, & hung them out on my front porch, where they flutter & stream on your behalf in the chill Winter winds.

I just heard from Doug and he says he is not well but has come home from the Hospital.. He will stay with and be under the care of his children for a while until he does feel better. More when I hear.

Doug is resting under the care of his Son and Daughter. His major complaint is he gets tired quickly and falls asleep. I told him we all wish him well
