Thanks for the Paulette information, Larry. You know I loves my sparklies!

Mongo, I adored Patrick Knowles as Linsay Woolsey in Auntie Mame!
Many of my favorites today, Mongo: Jonathan WInters, Robert Ryan (he and my Dad looked a great deal alike in some photos), and Susan Kohner. She was a great guest at the TCMFF2013 discussing Imitation of LIfe with Juanita Moore.

SueSue, I just wish that I was there to see Susan with Juanita Moore, who gave fine performances in "Imitation of Life".

Charles Chaplan out on the town with Paulette Goddard (what, no jewelry?)
Surely Charlie was too tight to buy jewellry for the lovely Paulette? From his autobiography, which admittedly isn't comprehensive, he makes a big deal about buying Oona a jewelled watch. I hope Paulette was able to part Charlie from some of his money, she was a stabling influence just as Charlie jnr and Sydney were growing up.
Failure is unimportant. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself - Charlie Chaplin

Say Mongo...may I put in a request? Can you show a couple of our movie stars in military gear in honor of Veteran's Day? Thank you. :)

Seee? There's where the rye bread Durante was talking about with Mary Wickes in "The Man Who Came to Dinner." Wow!

CineMaven, I will help Mongo out ...

Here is James Stewart ... he was a Brigadier General in the United States Air Force ... both Active and Reserve ... This is the only picture that I have of any Hollywood Stars in Uniform.

“...SKIN - A PASSPORT AND A BARRIER”

The quote above came from an amazing artist I only saw once at a fundraiser for an indie radio station in Brooklyn two years ago. Brandon Campos wrote it about Lena Horne in his piece honoring her career. Click on the photo and see the short clip of footage I shot of him paying homage. Sadly, Brandon died this Friday, November 9th.
