Oh my goodness, I can't stop laughing!!! Cher Henri est magnifique! I'm telling you, YouTube has some of the cleverest pet videos. I guess I'll have to find that "French for Cats" book I used to have and give the boys classes.

Would it be "Rouler sur le plancher rire"?

I love the way that Henri's series of disgusted, irked and bored expressions mirror the spoken thoughts so perfectly.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed these. I am now pretty sure that many cats probably do think in French. That explains much of why they are generally disdainful of us.

Brave little Dot has setbacks that would really bring anyone down but she seems to provide a lesson in spirit and courage!

Her story and pix here:

Bless her, she's so cute, how could anyone resist that face. What a smile she's brought to mine.

I hope that the kind people who have fostered Dot post about her progress again. It sounds as though they really have the knowledge to help her adjust to her situation and develop as much as possible. Thanks for posting about her. I can't wait to see her with her mobility cart. She'll probably be a little terror racing around the house.

The last time I saw a real life cat do this, I tried a harness on one of my long-ago kitties. She reacted as though she was a put-upon character in a melodrama and I was Snidely Whiplash. Pretty amusing, though she never seemed to grasp the concept of "let's go for a walk on a leash." She would merely look at me as if to say, "What fresh hell is this?"

Other than that one flaw in our relationship, we got along fine.

How cute!

It's funny when they do that with the harness training. Sometimes they wobble like they're drunk or something.

If anyone's interested, I learned about a $1,000 "Catification" Shelter Makeover contest where you can vote for one of ten finalists of shelters around the country that take in and care for kitties but are in need of renovations. (You don't need to register or sign up for anything):
