THE UBIQUITOUS, THE HEART THROB, THE BIG LUG and HEDDA'S BABY BOY:

Moira...you've nailed dem look-a-likes. :)

Now, I don't have the Dionne Quintuplets here...but these four gentlemen have kind of a passing resemblance to each other...big, blonde and squinty-eyed.

The Ubiquitous Louis Jean Heydt. (Second only to John Ridgely, "The Man Who Was EVERYwhere In Movies"). My heartthrob Wayne Morris...love his voice. I enjoyed him in "Brother Rat." He did a nice turn in "Paths of Glory" too. The Big Lug, Sonny Tufts...I love his big burly doofy-ness. And Hedda Hopper's baby boy: William Hopper.

Thank you Nancy, now everyone can see what I mean and why I had to stop the film to check whether the actress was Jean Hagen or not, the likeness is uncanny.

Gene Pool Double Take...

Postby Sue Sue Applegate » Sat Jun 02, 2012 4:07 am

I really enjoy this thread.

Image

I was always a fan of Soupy Sales as a little Texas tyke, but as I moved away from those halcyon days, I drifted away from my love of Soupy. Then one day, I was watching a Mel Gibson movie, and I started to hear Soupy's voice coming out of that face, and then I realized how much they looked alike. Anyone agree?

Plus I think this side-by-side set-up with Mel and Soupy is one of the funniest madcap mixups ever made.
Lemon Meringue pie, anyone?
Sincerely,
Christy

Ha!

I see the resemblance but think that Soupy Sales was a much more sane man--with or without White Fang or a custard pie.

Agreed! That's what makes it so hysterical.

Where is BLACK TOOTH?? I think one of Soupy's sons was married to one of Tyrone Power's daughters too.

.

Does anyone else see a resemblance between Attorney General Eric Holder (especially now that he's in the news so much), and Oprah's friend Stedman? To me they look like , at the very least, brothers.

Also:

In their younger, slimmer days I see a huge resemblance between Nick Nolte and Gary Busey.

I was watching Bing Crosby one day on TV, a very early appearance and almost gagged. Here is who he looked like to me. I can't watch anymore without seeing the resemblance and it freaks me out:
