Stand - In

Is a gem from the 1930's that stars the luminous Joan Blondell and the dull Leslie Howard. Humphrey Bogart is A Hollywood Studio Head od Production, with Alan Mowbray providing a funny turn as a very artistic European film director.

I like this film. It's refreshing to see Bogie playing such a different sort of role, with no hint at all of underworld connections.

Joan Blondell is cute...and I always like Leslie Howard.
