WTB: Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid VERSIONS

Post by Richard--W »

I'm writing an essay on PAT GARRETT AND BILLY THE KID (MGM, 1973) for publication and need to
study the alternative versions that are not released on DVD.

I'm looking for the 106-minute, 1973 theatrical release in widescreen. Widescreen only.

Also need the network TV version 1979-1988, heavily censored but with much alternative footage.

Will pay for good, clear copies on DVD-R.

Please use the Private Message function to contact me if you can help.

I don't have any of the versions you need, Richard, but I hope you'll share your essay here someday if you would like. One suggestion for alternate versions:

ioffer.com often has DVD-r copies of films shown on broadcast television. I am not endorsing them, but have found some fairly obscure items on that site for relatively small amounts. Please, as always, proceed with caution when ordering anything online from individual vendors in an auction site.

Also, I'm not sure where you live, but do know that the Sam Peckinpah Papers are held at The Margaret Herrick Library at AMPAS in Los Angeles. Perhaps you or an associate might be able to check out things there? Here's a link to their content outline:

Best of luck with your research. I wish I could help further.
