Perry Mason Films, Does That Man Ever Lose?

Post by cinemalover »

As I sit here at work I'm wondering if anyone is enjoying the Perry Mason films today. I set the recorder to catch two of them, but I won't be able to see the others. Which ones stand out? Which ones aren't worth the time? Any other thoughts?

I have not seen most of these films and am rather curious about them.
Thanks.
Chris

The only bad movie is no movie at all.

I watched several of them, but as usual, when watching a whole day's worth of one character, they all get mixed up as to what happened in which movie. I did like Warren William as Perry although I have to admit being used to Raymond Burr's Perry, Williams happy go lucky Perry is hard to take. Since I was never a fan of Erle Stanley Gardner, did Perry and Stella ever marry? Also, I noticed Paul Drake wasn't a regular character as I thought he was.

My eight grade nun was a great fan of the Perry Mason novels, she had never seen the Raymond Burr series, but she bristled at any suggestion that Perry and Della were playing footsie.
