My dad's family was Russian Orthodox, so got to do 2 Christmases each year as a child.

My dad's family was Russian Orthodox, so got to do 2 Christmases each year as a child.

I was very spoiled as a child. We have St. Nicholas Day for presents which fit inside shoes. Father Frost brings larger presents on New Years Day. An angel brings a precious gift on Christmas Day.

My mother and both of my fathers were of different religions and so we had reason to celebrate St. Nicholas Day on both the sixth and the nineteenth. It is sad to say that we never celebrated the twenty-fifth as a Christmas.
