I have re-enabled registration this morning, and turned on Google reCAPTCHA as our anti-spam measure. This is invisible to the user (no clicking "I am human" boxes or anything when registering), but apparently is the most effective deterrent out there for spammers. I am not convinced but we shall see!

It is a pain but I am not in pain so no worries!

It’s true that you can only feel one pain at a time. The stronger pain of course wins over (e.g. you break your leg and your headache goes away) but then the headache comes back because the brain is sick of dealing with the broken leg pain and wants some relief from that. But there is always going to be pain, and the relief of pain, then more pain, it just never ends. So I’m thankful I can only feel one pain at a time.

Another point to keep in mind is the brain does not remember pain, physical pain, it remembers it was in pain but not the actual pain itself. Too much. Unfortunately the brain remembers psychological pain. Remembers it over and over.
