Re: Warner Bros., Paramount in merger talks
It seems like a bad idea. The previous two times this happened, Fox got dismembered by Disney, and United Artists ceased to exist after a while once MGM tired of them.
Re: Warner Bros., Paramount in merger talks
I wonder what this means for TCM if it goes through? They were already predicting death knells over the Universal take over of WB.
Re: Warner Bros., Paramount in merger talks
Discovery rather than Universal. Universal is still owned by Comcast.
I bet we see ads for CSI: Peoria, available on your local CBS station (check your local listings) or streaming on Paramax +++.

Maybe they'll pull that bit of Mank rhapsodizing on the WB lot........
Re: Warner Bros., Paramount in merger talks
My immediate reaction was one of hope that WB would do something with one of the most neglected libraries in Hollywood - that of Paramount.

I'd worry more about Amazon than this (potential WB/Paramount merger), TBH...
