Is there anything more Irish than THE QUIET MAN?

"Wipe yer feet!"

I love the way Ford has all the local characters take "bows" at the end.

I went on a business trip to Galway back in 2001, and the guy I was traveling with was a big fan of The Quiet Man. We had a free afternoon, so I was volunteered to go see some of the sights where it was filmed. I had never seen it up to that point (not a big Wayne fan myself), so it was all lost on me. I was more concerned about not hitting a sheep, and shifting gears with my left hand.
