I am a new member and was motivated to join when I saw so many of my favorite TCM posters here at the Oasis.
I didn't look closely at the post dates.....I joined because this place looked "quieter"...but hope it ain't TOO quiet, LOL.

I think "thoughtful" more than just "quiet" might describe our little site--though we do get pretty excited sometimes, (just take a look at the thread about Them! as an example!)
The date of a thread doesn't seem to matter much. We sometimes find ourselves picking up a thread topic once more after several months of moving on to other thoughts. Glad to have your insight here.
