*CANDIDS*
Re: *CANDIDS*
Hi Mongo
What a classic beauty - Madge Bellamy - I must confess that I have never heard of her - what is her claim to fame ?
I guess the photo must have been taken in the 1920's - she must really have stood out then.

Re: *CANDIDS*
Madge Bellamy was a silent film star who made tons of movies in the 20's. Her best known movies now are The Iron Horse (1924) and White Zombie (1932). I believe she was the original Pollyanna, and also starred on Broadway in Peg O' My Heart. Other film roles include Lorna Doone, and she appeared in Frank Borzage's Lazybones.
Re: *CANDIDS*
Madge Bellamy is FABULOUS in Lazybones (which also has cowboy actor Buck Jones' best performance). I dare you all to watch it and not weep.
