Western Guy wrote:Thanks Joe for the great pic of the Dead End Kids. Enjoyed them in their early films but they became a little harder to take once they transmuted into The Bowery Boys.

Sad that some of them led pretty tragic lives. I reckon Bernard Punsly probably ended up the most personally and professionally fulfilled of the group, eschewing show business for a successful medical career.

Nice shot of Miss Davis, too. She had a gorgeous smile. RIP sweet lady.
You are right about Punsly, Stone. He played it smart. I always liked the Dead End Kids movies too, the Bowery Boys were a bit silly (but made money).
It's too bad that they are all deceased now.

I love behind the scenes shots like this. No mistaking that figure on Hitch!

Yet another reason I love this place, filling holes in my awareness of the classic film era. Never heard of the Dead End Kids before yesterday.

What a great shot from "The Left-Handed Gun"! I so appreciate all your efforts, Joe. As a western fan who's read about Arvo, it's really special to see that pic. Thanks again!

Is this on the level, PT? If so, I wish her all the luck in the outer world.

Indeed it is on the level, Joe. Some of us were praying for this for years, eventually giving up hope. Finally AM will join the ranks of the radio hall-of-famers. 8) :D
