"......But computer-generated animation as we currently know it requires plenty of human oversight and isn't as 'computer-generated' as it sounds. So maybe we should relabel traditional CGI as regular animation, and start referring to AI-generated animation as CG animation? It's interesting new territory for sure. "

When I was young, a junior high school teacher gave us homework to compare the Warmer Brothers cartoons versus Hanna-Barbera ones. Homework work on a Saturday morning.
The WB cartoons were obviously superior. The H-B cartoons, like the Flintstones, used repetitive backgrounds.
For the sake of argument, about 1970 or so.
No, I was not too old for cartoons.
Chances are I'm talking something different.
The Peanuts specials by Charles Schulz are superior as well to the current Peanuts drawings.
I'm sure it is much easier to draw with a computer.

I find it extremely difficult to believe that "Aiden" is an animated character.

AI technology does not bode well for the human race, IMO.

"....Stanchfield talks through the process of finding and scanning decades-old film reels, as well as providing a short introduction to how digital restoration works. There are also some really fun hand-drawn and stop-motion clips from a classic Koko the Clown short that the Blackhawk team was working on at the time.
There’s a bit of shop talk in the video, but in general, it’s easy to follow even with no prior knowledge of restoration technology or techniques. The film is made all the more enjoyable by the clear pleasure that Stanchfield and the Blackhawk team get from doing their work.

Working in chronological order, the video examines the steps required to restore a classic film starting with finding the old film reels. ....."

MeTV has been showing some of these restored Fleischer properties over the past few months on their cartoon shows on weekday mornings and occasionally on Saturday mornings. They've also showed up on MeTV+'s evening cartoon shows.
