Re: *CANDIDS*
Mongo, it's interesting that you should post photos of Ida Lupino, because I was thinking that today's birthday girl Nancy Gates looks a bit like her in this photo.
Re: *CANDIDS*
Gets even funnier, PT, considering I was just noting how much Andrea King reminds me of the Divine Ms. Moorhead!
Re: *CANDIDS*
And I always thought that Ida Lupino and Andrea King looked alike. In fact they played sisters in the movie "The Man I Love".

Another one of my favorites and one of my favorite musicals Mongo. I've never understood why it bombed at the box office.mongoII wrote:

Frank McGrath!
Now here's a fella I would've adored to share a cup o' coffee with!
Certainly Pappy cultivated a whole crop of stronger, brighter, bigger performers, but I often think that his "back pocket" discoveries - men like Ben Johnson, Woody Strode, Dobie Carey, Terry Wilson, & McGrath - form a deeper legacy, one built of truer, more quiet men.
Besides just look at that face on ol' Frank! What guy wouldn't be proud to call him "Uncle", literally or figuratively!
