When I first saw this thread about movie lines, I thought of all the movie lines I used to write down in my looseleaf binders when I watched ‘old movies.’ I went to my parents’ house to see if I could find the binders but I must’ve packed them in storage. But I did find another binder filled with movie reviews, and movie posters from the newspaper. Forgive the size of these ( 320 x 240 ); just wanted to be sure they could be seen. The paper is understandably yellowed since these reviews are from the 1970’s.

Thought I’d share with fans who might be interested:

By the by...I don't care what Rex Reed says, I loved "THE TAMARIND SEED" when I saw it at Radio City Music Hall.

I've tried to find that movie for several years, no luck. It looks interesting, and anything with Ms. Andrews AND Mr. Sharif....well, I'll just keep on looking for it!

Rex always had something snippy to say! It could have been the best movie of all time, and he'd find a way to insert something catty, god love him. :D

I never will forget Rex Reed's unbridled praise of DRIVING MISS DAISY. The word perfect came up several times. Some movies do that to you. Even if it's not super-duper brilliant, it's without flaw. It's impressive to see. Even to Rex!

Oh, thanks, Ms G. I'll bet you had something to do with it, didn't you? what a sweetheart!

I just finished watching it, (ok, I admit it...I fast forwarded thru the tense bits...I get nervous when the tension starts building...) It wasn't exactly what I expected, but I liked it. Now that I know how it ends   I'll go back and watch it thru, uninterrupted...

thanks again Ms. G!!!
